IberoBio is an ambitious project that aims to consolidate, position and internationalize the cross-border Iberian Biotech sector. At IberoBio, we believe in strategic collaboration, innovation and joint growth. Our mission is to drive the success of biotech companies in the Iberian Peninsula by promoting internationalization, access to financing, innovation and the promotion of the sector. Creation of a collaborative structure (Iberian Biotech Hub), with the cataloging of existing resources in the biotech sector in the cross-border territory and the impact of biotech on the implementation of Smart Specialization Strategies.

BIOGA is a non-profit business association that supports the biotechnology sector value chain in Galicia. BIOGA works to improve the positioning of the Galician biotechnology sector, seeking to enhance competitiveness and generate business by promoting actions and services directly aimed at members of the ecosystem.
The AVTE - Area of Valorization, Transfer and Entrepreneurship is a service under the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Innovation at the University of Santiago de Compostela, responsible for managing the transfer of research results, including:


- Identification of results with commercial potential.


- Protection of them through patents or other legal instruments.


- Negotiating and establishing licensing agreements.


- Creating companies based on research results (spin-offs).
Public institution that manages an international free trade zone and acts as an economic development agency.

The objective of the CZFV is to promote the economic development of Vigo and its area of influence, supporting companies and entrepreneurs with the best facilities, capital, economic information, training, and knowledge.
The Centre for Biological Engineering (CEB) is a research centre located at the University of Minho (Braga) and part of the Portuguese Science and Technology System. In the latest evaluation (2014) of R&D units by FCT, CEB was rated Excellent, maintaining this rating since 2002.

CEB combines fundamental science (chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology) with engineering sciences to obtain value-added products or processes in the food, chemical, biotechnology and environmental industries.

CEB is a unit that aims to be a strategic infrastructure for the development of R&D and innovation policies in the areas of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Biomaterials, Biomedical and Life Sciences, Environmental and Agricultural Sciences.
The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), located in Braga (northern Portugal), was founded by the Portuguese and Spanish governments under an international legal framework to conduct interdisciplinary research and deploy and articulate nanotechnology for the benefit of society. INL aims to become the global centre for nanotechnology that addresses the major challenges facing society.


The INL research programme covers four strategic fields of application for nanoscience and nanotechnology: food and environmental monitoring, ICT, renewable energy and health.
FUNDECYT-PCTEX is the entity responsible for promoting R&D in Extremadura. As an OTRI (Technology Transfer and Research Organisation) and through countless projects, we promote the connection between science and the business sector by transferring research results, facilitating innovations and new high-value products and services.

Coordinates the Office for Innovation and the Extremadura Incubator Network (IAT in Bioeconomy and Circular Economy, Incubator for New Technologies).

We collaborate with the Health Sciences Bioincubator and programmes such as Extremadura Open Future and Sapiem (UEX).

We act as the RIS3 Technical Secretariat for Extremadura, which gives us unrivaled knowledge of the region's needs, challenges and opportunities.
Zona Franca de Cádiz is a public business entity for the socio-economic development of the area of influence in Cádiz.

The Base Zone (High-Tech Incubator) is set up as a center for innovation and technological expansion, pioneering in the province of Cádiz. Its location, on the outskirts of the Free Trade Zone in the capital of Cádiz, gives it accessibility and the potential to be a landmark that encourages the development of this important area of the city.

Zona Base was created to respond to the excellence and talent of Cadiz-based companies, to accommodate their full technological and digital potential. It was also created with the aim of welcoming all those companies that come to Cadiz attracted by the project and by the talent of our companies.
Salamanca Economic Development is a municipal department that carries out its activities through an instrumental body of the City Council, namely the Municipal Society for Tourism, Trade and Economic Development.

He currently works on connecting the most innovative technology with the experience and business opportunities of the most important companies in the health-care sector:

- To generate products with greater added value, improve the efficiency and competitiveness of all members of the value chain, ensure environmental sustainability, and position the sector appropriately in the face of new social and consumer challenges and demands.

- Create stable, high-quality employment.

- Based in Castilla y León but with a national impact and permanent international connections in the scientific and technological fields.

- Designed by and for businesses, with the support of the public administration and the R&D ecosystem.
Colab4Food - Collaborative Laboratory for Innovation in the Agri-Food Industry, is a non-profit association with 24 members and strategic partners in the food value chain and cross-cutting activities.

Its main objective is to catalyze food innovation through the transfer of technology and knowledge from academic institutions to industry. The activity covers several important topics in the food industry, such as: Financial Support, Technological Innovation, Digitalization, among others.

In addition, it has developed several internal projects (e.g., database development, technology transfer) and has participated in competitive funding projects at the national and international level.
Greencolab is a non-profit organization dedicated to R&D in the algae sector, defined by:

- Team of highly qualified researchers with experience in R&D.

- Strong research capabilities, enabling the continuous development and improvement of algae production technologies.

- Extensive network of partners and collaborators, including universities, companies, and other organizations, giving you access to additional resources and knowledge.

- Strong ability to communicate and transfer knowledge to other organizations and individuals, including universities, companies and governments.

- Strong capacity for innovation, always seeking ways to improve and develop new technologies for algal production.
Uninova (Sociedade para a promoção de Iniciativas Empresariais Innovadoras, M.P., S.L.), promoted by the City Council of Santiago de Compostela and the USC, offers advice, acceleration and support for the creation of innovative business initiatives.

Its purpose is to encourage, facilitate, promote and drive all kinds of actions that generate employment and economic activity in the Compostela area in order to contribute to the consolidation of an economic fabric that generates employment, wealth and innovation in the City Council of Santiago de Compostela.

As it is owned by the City Council, the Company also performs services commissioned by the Council and may carry out economic activities related to its corporate purposes.
The IGAPE (Galician Institute for Economic Promotion) has the mission of supporting and developing the Galician business fabric through support schemes, incentives, financing, and services for Galician companies, especially SMEs.

Since its creation in 1993, in order to fulfil its mission of economic development, it has established various action plans and participates in national and international projects that contribute to its fundamental objectives of supporting innovation, balanced and sustained development of the territory, promoting the creation and growth of start-ups, and also the growth and consolidation of companies and business organisations.
P-BIO is a private non-profit association that brings together companies linked to the Biotechnology and Life Sciences sector in Portugal, from areas such as:

- Industrial biotechnology


- Agri-food biotechnology


- Marine biotechnology


Since its foundation in 1999, it has contributed as a key element to the development and support of biotechnology in Portugal, seeking to develop a favourable environment for the creation and growth of biotechnology start-ups and promoting their national and international business development.
